Dewkala Tamang is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Kandi Raj College, Kandi–Murshidabad. She completed her M.A. in Political Science at the University of North Bengal in 2020, following her B.A. from Southfield College (formerly Loreto College), Darjeeling. Her academic interests include Political Thought and Theory, Public Administration, Indian Politics with special reference to Identity Politics, and International Relations. A state-level debate participant and Best Speaker awardee, she is also recognised for her achievements in creative writing.
