Dr Dipannita Maria Bagh is Editor and faculty at the Institute of Human Rights and Democratic Governance, Spring University Myanmar since June 2023. She has previously worked at Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations in Mumbai, the Netaji Institute for Asian Studies in Kolkata, and also on a year-long commissioned project of the Ministry of External Affairs to monitor developments in Bangladesh’s Chittagong district and their impact on the 2018 general elections. She holds a PhD in Political Science from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong; an MPhil in Foreign Policy Studies; and an MA in South and Southeast Asian Studies, with specialisations in Peace Studies and Refugee Studies, from the University of Calcutta.
