Sasi Pazhavila served in the Indian Air Force in his younger days and later joined the banking sector which also induced him into the trade union movement. He served in the national leadership of a left-affiliated workers' union for many years before quitting both the job and the activism. Post-retirement, Sasi Pazhavila plunged into research and writing and has authored over 16 books, including poetry, in various languages in the past decade.
